      Owner & Managing Attorney

      Trey Underwood has spent his legal career fighting for the rights of individuals, not companies. Throughout his career, Mr. Underwood has handled felony, misdemeanor, and juvenile prosecutions in the Dougherty Judicial Circuit as a former prosecutor, recovering millions of dollars for clients through successful personal injury and workers’ compensation cases. As a native son of Albany, where he currently resides, he’s committed himself to giving back to the community. Clients receive one-on-one counsel to carefully guide them through fighting for what’s rightfully theirs, one individual at a time.

      David is an attorney with five years of experience representing clients in personal injury matters throughout Georgia. He is licensed to practice in all State and Superior Courts of Georgia, as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Georgia and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. David is committed to providing thoughtful, client-focused representation and takes pride in helping individuals navigate difficult situations with confidence and clarity. Outside of his legal practice, he enjoys music, cooking, and spending time with his amazing wife and his two beautiful daughters.

      Stephanie is a paralegal at Underwood Law, focusing on workers’ compensation cases. She began her career with the firm as a legal assistant in 2022 and has worked her way up through dedication, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for helping injured workers. She enjoys supporting clients throughout their case and keeping them updated. Outside of the office, Stephanie spends her free time cheering on her daughters on the softball field.

      Case Manager

      Ariel is a Personal Injury Case Manager who believes that behind every case file is a real person with a real story. With over 13 years of customer service experience—including seven years at a local law firm—she brings empathy, precision, and steady advocacy to every client she works with. In December 2025, she relocated to Underwood to take on her current role, where her commitment to clear communication and compassionate case management quickly became her hallmark. As a mother of two boys, Ariel understands the importance of protecting what matters most. When she’s not in the office, you’ll often find her immersed in a good book or creating something with her hands—painting, crafting, or designing projects with her Cricut. She treasures time spent with her husband, children, and their German Shepherd, Alger, and believes creativity and connection are just as essential as hard work.

      Intake Manager

      Nacaya is the Intake Manager at Underwood Law and one of the first points of contact for new clients. With over 10 years of customer service experience, she is confident in her communication skills and dedicated to making clients feel heard and supported from the start. Outside of work, Nacaya enjoys arts and crafts and spending time with her daughter.

      Legal Assistant

      Angel is a Legal Assistant at Underwood Law, where she focuses on client intake and case support. As a primary point of contact for new and existing clients, she plays a key role in ensuring a smooth and organized onboarding process while maintaining clear and consistent communication throughout each case. Angel is experienced in gathering and reviewing case information, coordinating medical records requests, and assisting with case management from intake through resolution. She works closely with clients, medical providers, and internal team members to help ensure all necessary documentation is obtained in a timely manner. Known for her attention to detail and strong organizational skills, Angel is committed to providing efficient and reliable support to both clients and attorneys. She approaches each case with professionalism and a client-focused mindset, helping Underwood Law deliver responsive and effective legal services.
